Dedicated to my cousin, Johnny, who I miss. Sorry kid, I haven't watched enough anime to keep up with you.

Check out the fam in all their glory. The context of this video comes from interactions between my mom and me, as I often say "waowww" in response to her statements. It's essentially the word "wow" but said with more of a sarcastic and warped drawl (sorry mom). I'm surprised everyone obliged. #loved Anyway, today was day 2 of the seminar. Today's biggest event for me was something the church called a treasure hunt. Essentially you and a group of people would pray together asking for certain details of a random person - shirt color, name, hairstyle, images on a shirt, perhaps an illness, etc. All of these things you would write on a piece of paper to remember your thoughts. You would then venture out into the area and look for strangers that fit some or all criteria, talk to them, and pray for them if they were cool with it. In all my life growing up at church, I have never done anything like this. I have only heard of people openly evangelizing and as a result was intimidated by the whole thought.
The whole experience was interesting. To be pretty straight up, I didn't approach anyone. I instead observed my group leader and his interactions with strangers. My group had around 6-7 people and we walked around Tacoma for about an hour and a half. Typically our group leader would see someone and introduce himself, explain our mission, mention some matching details (from our previous prayers), and ask if there was anything they needed prayer on. If prayer was requested, our group would collectively pray. Some people said no, but most people accepted. If anything, people were quite appreciative of the gesture. I can't remember how many people we approached, but I remember praying for maybe 3-4 people? As I mentioned, I went into this feeling intimidated and a bit uncomfortable, but came out of it feeling a lot less uncomfortable. Maybe I'll have enough confidence to do it on my own some day.
