Paris // Lyon // Nice // Le-Puy-en-Velay

*1 day late! I made an oopsies. Last but not least, our 5th student spotlight, ~Terrifically titillating Tyriek~ One could say that Ty and I are kind of versions of each other, but not really. It is uncanny how many of my songs (Melancholic Min Music TM) are on his playlists and vice versa. Ty is a big boy cuber, often filling the room with sounds of new personal records and swishes of plastic. Ty also teaches the group and me a ton of new slang that I think is catching on. To be honest, it sounds much cooler when he and Azim say it (dommage) (no cap). Ty and I officially met at our first France trip meeting and have been fighting for a certain French man's affection since then (50/50 joking). Drip or drown? Hm, I would say drip like the infinite drips from a venti, spiced up, iced, classic chai latte from Starbucks on a hot summer day. Like when your iced drink sweats a lot onto the napkin or table or you underneath it. Today we officially peaced Nice. Half of our group via car-share left earlier and my half cleaned up the AirBNB and such. Emily, Ty, and I (yay, now you should know all of the names!) scrub-a-dub-dubbed the kitchen and bedrooms. I am not a big fan of waste, so I tried making it a point to give away or use our groceries. Ty thought it'd be a cool idea to make a ton of sandwiches with our leftover Auchan bread and other random things to distribute to the homeless, so we had a fun sandwich-making party. I usually dislike cooking, but I now realize I enjoy cooking for others a lot and experimenting. Here are some random pictures from the kitchen as I was cooking and cleaning. Tell me the one on the left (a crusty pan with egg and butter residue) doesn't look like Starry Night and that the one on the right (a cracked egg) doesn't look like Donald Trump? After checking out of our AirBNB, we took a bus through Nice to get to our destination and wait for our driver. We happened to stop by a convenience store and I bought these random coffees for Ty and me (peep the nail polish drip). As you can see from the packaging, drinking this coffee can offer a "full-bodied" experience, which I guess entails becoming a man with a lion's head. The coffee was surprisingly tasty and creamy and hints of caramel. I think it was from Austria though. We also tried distributing our 9 sandwiches to the homeless in the area, but were not able to due to time constraints and location. The sandwiches are now our breakfast/snack sandwiches during classes.
Finally, we rode in the car from Nice to Lyon for 7 hours. It was honestly grueling with no AC and a lot of traffic, but you make do. Emily, Ty, and I were all in the back and actually all had good 1-on-1 talks with each other, as we each kind of fell into naps in 3 shifts. It worked out I think. Our driver was cool and so was the passenger. We eventually made it to Gaspard's by 10:30PM and chatted more throughout the night. Tomorrow marks more class! We are to work a new project and I am pretty pumped about that, however also a little nervous. The packaging classes I have taken have been more memorization and facts, rather than actual practice. But that's okay - I think experience is the best way to learn something. We shall see, oui?
