Before we start, here are some pictures of Emily and me trying to emulate Ty and Azim when they pose for pictures. They naturally exude this weird solemn coolness, while we end up bringing the goof to every photo. Here are some attempts. Today was more of a chill day. We learned more about printing and press in class. Today's focus was more on graphic design and file formats. I learned about the PDF (portable document format) and why it is so helpful in transferring information. I also learned about how important it is for packaging engineers to know different vocabulary in all fields. Dabbling here and there will help you ask and answer questions, as you will be working with graphic design, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, etc. So many people! So much communication! I love information and communication, so it was fun to learn. Today's lunch was quenelle with tomato sauce, mushrooms, and olives! It had an interesting texture, but was filling. I loooooove mushrooms, so it was a good dish. Thanks Noeme!!! We were actually supposed to visit a waterfall and lake after class, but it started to rain! Oh well - we went to Gaspard's flat instead and enjoyed more food. We ended up playing Fruit Basket (known as "Time's Up" in France?) which was very fun. We each wrote 5 notable and internationals names (for example, Mickey Mouse, Obama, etc.) and added it to a basket. We then played 3 rounds with 2 opposing teams - guess the person with as much detail as possible, guess the person with 1 word, and guess the person with charades. It was super fun and my team won by 1 point! Very close. Today's blog title comes from this game, as 5 Americans (aka me + 4 friends) wrote down Donald Trump as a figure! Great minds think alike, yes? To end today's segment, here's a cute pic of most of us taken by Sophia. This was from the mountains yesterday. I thought I'd upload it because I like it, hehe.
That's it for today! Like mentioned, it was more of a chill day. Tomorrow will be more learning, hooray! It's weird that my trip and study abroad is almost coming to an end. That just means I should savor every moment and live my best life, oui? Aight, yo!
