HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!!! This girl be 20 years old and she's spending it in France!!! How cool is that? As I mentioned it Emily's spotlight eons ago, we've known each other for a bit, but I am really glad that we got more up close and personal ( ;^) ) during our trip. Emily is supah dope and I like being around her! Enjoy some pics of us trying to be cool. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeace, ESEPAC! Today was my last day of classes. A bittersweet day indeed, as I am quite exhausted from being in a foreign country for 2.5ish weeks but sad to leave such a beautiful country. Here's the run down... I think I've mentioned this project I've been working a little. Here's an actual list of what I was supposed to do!
After school ended, we said our goodbye's and headed back to Lyon for one more night. The 6 of us ate with Gaspard and Gwen and their significant others. We went directly to a bouchon lyonnais restaurant to enjoy our last French supper. It was a 3-course meal and I had duck pâté, quenelle and fried pork (Emily & I split!), and baba. The food was tasty and I enjoyed everything. However, the baba was soaked in rum and was extremely strong, but I'm glad I at least tried it, hehe. After food, we all said farewell to Gwen. I really appreciate her because she is very caring and kind. Cimer, Gwen! To finish the night, we headed to a cool bar for our last drink together. Gaspard and his girlfriend met us there and we chatted for a bit. It was good to reflect with each other and discuss our experience. I've always thought this, but this trip was so memorable because of how unique it was. My experience was molded by each person I met and each thing I did. Had our group been 1 person more or less, everything could have been so different. More reflection later. I got a whole post prepared for that. :^)
We are all back at Gaspard's home for one last slumber! Tomorrow I head to the train from Lyon to CDG and then have to wait for 5-6 hours for my flight (womp womp). TTYL!
