New segment to start our day. Introducing our 1st student spotlight: ~Amazingly affordable Azim~ Azim likes to maintain good posture and thus demands us to quit slouching at random moments. I will admit, when I went bowling yesterday, good posture helped me get 2 spares in a row, so it's not complete bogus. Azim also enjoys photography and will offer to take photos of you if you're cool enough in his eyes. Azim and I officially met while going to a packaging conference meeting many months ago. He's cool, I guess. Drip or drown? Mmmm. Medium drip, like a normal cup of coffee. Like one I would get from this instant coffee machine. Today's main event was helping teach English in the students' English class. I talked about differences in America, such as our healthcare system, food, fashion, sayings, and slang. I learned about the European Union with my group as well as the power of advertising and the stress that comes with moral issues. I have found that many young French students are quite good at English, despite what they think. I enjoyed helping the students out and I liked listening to their opinions. I also enjoyed the professor of the course. He had a nice British accent. Last night was my last stay with Paul, Maxime, Loic, and Iloona. I am very grateful that they allowed us to stay with them. I had a really great time meeting them and I loved their house! Next week I will be housed by a different student. Au revoir, New Girl crew! This weekend is actually a holiday for the French students. Therefore, we do not have class until Monday. This vacation was pretty surprising to us as well, but my pals and I (with the help of Gaspard & Audrey) managed to book a trip to ~Nice~! We are quite excited, as we now get to experience the south of France and the shore. We have plans to really chill as we are quite tired from the travel and classes. After class, we were all driven back to Gaspard's home in Lyon. I had an extremely restful nap in the car. After arriving in Lyon, we all wanted a nice French meal and decided to metro into Old Lyon to satisfy the hungies. I have included some random pictures from today. Enjoy!!! I had chicken liver, what appeared to be sausage in mashed potatoes, and chocolate mousse. To be honest, I wasn't really impressed with any of my meals? It was quite normal to me, though I still appreciated eating with my friends. I suppose the mousse was the best? If anything, bites of my classmates' dishes were tastier than my own (oops).
Tomorrow, I will carshare to Nice with my classmates. Have some fun in the sun, oui?
