Dedicated to my cousin, Johnny, who I miss. Sorry kid, I haven't watched enough anime to keep up with you.

Seattle // Tacoma // San Francisco
I kind of forgot how to take good selfies, now that I don't use social media (and thus have no platform to post my selfies on). But dommage, enjoy these snaps of your favorite duo. Omg!!! I feel like we did so much today. First off, my brother and I (intentionally) slept through continental breakfast and wound up eating at a creperie (#youcantakeminawayfromfrancebutnotthefranceawayfrommin #thanksty) my mom had looked up. I had an egg, cheese, onions, spinach, and ham crepe and a cappuccino, while my brother had lox. It was deeeeeeelish. I love crepes. Afterwards, we headed to a popular street and ~trolley stop~ to look around and eventually hop onto a trolley. The line was reaaaaaaaaaaal long, so my gracious dad took post and my mom, brother, and I browsed at nearby stores. Eventually, we made it on, and I actually stood at the front of the trolley! It was insane - there were times when I really felt like I could scrape a car or another incoming trolley, but I never did. I also feared I would somehow someway let go of the trolley or some unknown force would sweep me off my feet, but I never wavered. It was really fine. The wait was definitely worth it - I got some great views of SF and enjoyed the barely-roller-coaster ride of the trolley. It was kind of magical; I loved it. *Tangential: SF is so hilly, what the hay!!! **Tangential: Tons of people were wearing their pretty cool checkered Vans and I semi-wished I brought my dandy yellow ones, but scolded myself for being impractical and image-conscious and reminded myself of the comfort of my athletic sneakers. We walked along Fisherman's Wharf. Saw some stuff. Then came precious, precious In-N-Out. Cheap. Fast. Good. I don't think I'm the biggest burger fan, so not much to say. Beep boop. Lunch. Yeet. Ultimately, my family wanted to hit the Golden Gate Bridge through whatever means we felt. We decided to go with biking, the potential downside being that my dad and mom ride tandem. We eventually went for it. The first leg of our adventure involved riding your bike from the rental place to the starting point of the bridge. That was a journey in itself - I had to dismount a couple of times for sidewalks and hills. I also battled winds that were literally coming at me. Geez, air resistance really does a number on you. However, the views were completely worth the ride there. The bay is gorgeous. I literally felt I was looking at calendar-worthy scenes. I wanted to give a spotlight to this picture because my parents actually went to SF together in their younger years!!! I wish I had a picture to go side-by-side with this, but dommage. My parents are such cuties and I'm glad they got to come back and see some familiar sights and perhaps some changes. My parents are so lovely and I could write on and on about how awesome they are, both as individuals and caretakers. 엄마 아빠 많이 사랑해요!!! Anyway, the second leg of our GGB journey was the actual biking of the bridge. I'm actually kind of scared of bridges, which stems from my fear of heights, so I was worried in general. HOWEVER, the ride was not so bad and quite beautiful. My only complaints are the winds, traffic noises, and people being on the wrong side (bikes left, pedestrians right). Somewhere along the way, my parents actually turned around, so my brother and I pedaled onwards. Eventually, my brother and I reached the end and looked back at the path we had just taken. Tons of people were there just enjoying the view. After some snaps, we passed to the other side of the bridge and went back. I title this, 2 Sides of Ube Ice Cream. After biking, my family met up and walked over for a treat. At this point, I felt really gross from sweating and sea salt and my legs felt like spaghetti (thanks Eminem). I haven't really exercised all that much in a while, so it was good to pump the blood, yet awful at the same time. I think if I had the views in Washington and California, I would be a lot more inclined to jog outside. Whatevzzz, the East Coast is beautiful too. Anyway, I had ube ice cream and my family enjoyed their own desserts. Afterwards, we had Thai food. I thought I uploaded a picture to my Drive, but maybe not. No big deal. It was spicy. And we're Korean. It was also ok. After that, we went shopping and I got some shirts and such from Uniqlo. My brother got some too. It was chill. The fam was quite (understandably) exhausted, but my dad wanted to seek a bit more adventure (translation: "I want to max out the use of my all-day transportation pass.") (I don't blame him because I'd do the same thing). My mom and brother dipped to the hotel and my dad and I trollalalalalala'd to Lombard Street. The street is known for being a literal squiggle. I was curious as to like why it was made that way and who decided that. If anything, I found it funny. Cars very slowly lumbered down the one-way road. There were many opportunities to take photos due to the cars' slow movement. I was able to see the many hills of SF.
We trolleedleleedleleedle'd back to our hotel. As we traveled back, I thought about 1) how expensive it is to live in SF, 2) how lovely the flora is, and 3) how interesting the architecture is. So far, I definitely enjoy the vibe of SF more than Seattle (though Seattle has its own unique personality). We made it back to our area, took a cute trip to Walgreens, and arrived to our sleepy family. Today was jam-packed and I am quite tired. I shall sign off now - I better sleep before my dad does. He snores way loud. I hope I do not inherit that. Ta ta!
